Babbu Punjabi Dhaba

We run this little dhaba out of a house, number 238, in the Mulechakk Covaters area of Amritsar. It’s not on a big main road with neon signs, it’s more of a local spot tucked away in the neighborhood. We started it because we enjoy cooking and wanted to provide decent meals for the people living nearby. It’s a very simple setup, almost like eating in someone’s living room or courtyard. We don't have a fancy menu or waitstaff in uniforms. It’s mostly just family members helping out and doing whatever needs to be done. The 143001 area of Amritsar is where we’ve spent our whole lives, so we know most of the people who walk through the door. Sometimes the service is a bit slow because we make things fresh for every order, but nobody seems to mind too much. We use the recipes we've always used at home, nothing fancy. The street is usually quiet compared to the city center, which makes for a more relaxed place to eat. We don't do any advertising; people just find out about us by word of mouth and neighborly recommendations. It’s a small operation, and we like keeping it that way. If you’re looking for a big, polished restaurant, this isn’t it. But if you want a regular meal in a quiet part of Amritsar, we are here. We just do our best to keep everyone fed and satisfied.
