Ranjit Avenue is one of the busiest spots in Amritsar, and that is where you will find us. We have shops 100 and 101 in the C Block area. It is a lively neighborhood, especially being so close to Bukhara. At Roger - The Taste Of Lahore, the day starts pretty early with a lot of prep work in the kitchen. There is always cleaning to do and ingredients to get ready before the first people show up for a meal. The smell of the cooking usually starts to drift out onto the street by late morning. It gets quite loud in here once the lunch rush starts, with the sound of the kitchen and people talking, but that is just part of the job. We have some simple tables and chairs for people to sit down, and it often gets crowded in the evenings. The traffic on the road outside can be quite a mess, with cars looking for parking spaces everywhere. We don't have any fancy technology for taking orders, just a simple pad and pen. Most of the people who eat here are locals from the residential blocks nearby. We have a small group of staff who have been working together for a long time, so we have a good rhythm going. It is a lot of hard work and long hours, but we enjoy being part of the food scene here in Amritsar. We just keep things moving and focus on the cooking.
