R. K. Vaishno Bhojan Bhandar

You can find us inside Hall Gate at Shop No-6 in Amritsar. We are right there near Amrit Talkies and Jt Kanhiya. R. K. Vaishno Bhojan Bhandar is a strictly vegetarian place, just like the name says. We’ve been serving food to the people walking through the gate for many years. The area is always crowded and full of energy, which we’ve grown to love. Our kitchen isn't very big, but we manage to churn out a lot of rotis and sabzi every single day. It’s the kind of place where you sit down, eat your fill, and go about your day. We don’t have a marketing team or a social media manager. We just have our cooks who have been with us forever. Sometimes the place gets packed and you might have to share a table with a stranger, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We use fresh ingredients from the local market because that’s what makes the food taste like home. It’s a bit dusty outside and noisy because of the traffic near Hall Gate, but inside, we just focus on the food. It’s simple, humble, and it keeps us going. We hope that when people leave, they feel satisfied with what they ate. It is a lot of hard work, but seeing the same faces every day makes it worth it for us in the long run.
