New Gill Punjabi Dhaba

Our dhaba sits on Sultanpur Road in the Darshan Avenue area. It’s easy to find if you’re near the old Bhatta. Amritsar is known for good food, so we just try to do our part. We aren't a big restaurant chain, just a local place where you can get a solid meal. The menu is simple and mostly stays the same. We focus on the things we know how to cook well. It’s usually quite noisy here with the traffic outside and people talking. We started this because we wanted to have a place where locals could sit down and eat without paying too much. The kitchen staff stays busy from morning till late. We get a lot of truck drivers and families passing through. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s honest. We buy our vegetables fresh and cook them up daily. Sometimes we run out of things if the day is busier than we expected. That’s just how it goes. We don't have a big team, just a few of us working together. It’s a simple life. We like seeing the same faces coming back every week. If you're driving down Sultanpur Road, you'll see our sign. It’s nothing special to look at, but the food is hot and ready. We just keep doing what we do. It is a lot of work but we like the pace of it.
