MX Doner

We are up on the first floor of Sco-30 in Ranjit Avenue. It’s a good spot in B-Block, right near the Colour Lounge. In Amritsar, people really know their food, so we have to stay on our toes. We specialize in doner, which is a bit different from the usual stuff you find around here. We have the meat spinning on the vertical grills all day. It’s a small team of us working the counter and the kitchen. We get a lot of younger people coming in because it's a quick and easy thing to eat. The atmosphere is pretty casual. We don't have fancy tablecloths or anything like that. We just wanted a place where you could get a good wrap or a plate and move on with your day. The view from the first floor is nice, you can see people walking around the avenue. We spend a lot of time making sure the meat is seasoned right and the sauces are ready. It gets quite warm near the grills, but we’re used to it by now. We aren't part of some big chain, just a local business trying to offer something a little different in the neighborhood. Some days are busier than others, especially in the evenings when everyone is out. We just keep the music low and the food coming. It's a simple setup and we like it that way because it works for us.
