Mahajan Chicken House

Mahajan Chicken House is located right on Batala Road in Amritsar. We are pretty easy to spot because we are quite near the Celebration Mall. It’s a busy road with cars and bikes zooming past all day long. Our place is a bit different from the fancy shops inside the mall. We are more about the actual cooking and the food itself. You can usually see the smoke from the kitchen when we are busy getting things ready for the evening. We have been here serving chicken to the local crowd for a long time. The shop is simple, nothing too flashy, just a place where people come when they are hungry for something solid. We spend a lot of time prepping the meat and getting the spices right. It gets really hectic during dinner time when everyone is stopping by on their way home in the 143002 area. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud you have to shout a bit to be heard, but that’s just the way Batala Road is. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or things like that. We just focus on our work and try to make sure every customer gets what they came for. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, and we know many of the people who walk through our door by their first name. It’s just a good, normal spot to be.
