Krishna Madhur Mishthan Bhandar And Vaishno Dhaba

Our shop is right on Main Batala Road in Amritsar, 143001. We are situated near Navjot School, so we get a lot of kids and parents coming by in the afternoons. Krishna Madhur Mishthan Bhandar And Vaishno Dhaba is a long name for a simple place. On one side we have the sweets in the glass cases, and on the other side, we have the dhaba seating. It's a bit loud because of the traffic on Batala Road, but people don't seem to mind. We start early in the morning making the fresh batches of sweets. My hands are always covered in flour or sugar by ten am. The dhaba side gets busy around noon. We serve standard North Indian food, nothing fancy, just what we know how to cook. The floors are stone and we scrub them every night. It’s a family-run thing, so sometimes you’ll see my kids doing their homework at one of the back tables. We don’t have a big menu with fancy names. We just make what we like to eat ourselves. If the parathas are a bit thick one day, that’s just how they came out of the kitchen. It’s honest work and we’ve been at this spot for a long time.
