If you know where Baiji Raj Ka Kund is, then finding us is easy. We are located right inside Delhi Gate. It is an old part of the city, and our shop has that same old feel to it. We do watch service, which mostly means we spend our time opening up watches and trying to figure out why they stopped ticking. It is slow work and requires a lot of patience. Sometimes the parts are so small you can barely see them. We have a few regular customers who have been coming to Surekha Watch Service for years. They usually stay for a bit to talk about the weather or what's happening in the news. The area around Delhi Gate is always noisy with bikes and people, but inside the shop, it stays relatively calm. We don't have any fancy machines, just the hand tools that have worked for us forever. The shop smells a bit like oil and old metal. We don't really bother with advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here near the kund. It is a simple life, sitting at the bench and working on one watch at a time. Sometimes we can't fix them, especially the newer digital ones that are all plastic inside, and we just have to say so. We try to be honest with everyone who walks through the door. It is just a job at the end of the day.
