If you go down to Ashok Nagar and look for Shri Niketan, that’s where you’ll find Sanjary Watch Company. It’s a steady kind of place. I wouldn't say there's anything special about the building, it's just where we’ve set up our desk and tools. I’ve lived around here for years, so I know most of the people who walk past. Working on watches is mostly about patience. Some days I just sit and clean out dust from old casings. It’s surprising how much dirt gets inside a watch after a few years. Ashok Nagar is a bit quieter than the main markets, which I prefer. It allows me to focus on the tiny parts without too much distraction. We don't really sell the new smartwatches or anything like that. We mostly stick to the mechanical ones and the basic battery-operated ones. If someone brings in a clock that’s been in their family for decades, I take extra care with it. Those have stories. The shop itself is small, and I keep my spare parts in old tins. It’s not organized in a way a computer would like, but it works for me. Sometimes I forget to turn the sign to "open" even when I'm inside working. If the door is unlocked, just come on in. We usually have the radio playing low in the background while I work. It helps pass the time when the repairs get tedious.
