We are over in Sector-14, right on Chunginaka Road in Goverdhan Vilas. Ruchika Watch & Electric is a bit of a mix. I started out just fixing watches, but then people started bringing in small fans and broken switches, so I figured I might as well help with those too. Now the shop is half watch parts and half electrical wires. It’s a bit crowded in here. Goverdhan Vilas is a growing area, so there’s always something needing a fix. I spend my mornings on the delicate watch work when my eyes are fresh. In the afternoon, I usually deal with the bigger electrical stuff. It keeps the day interesting. My workspace is covered in bits of copper and tiny gears. It looks like a mess to anyone else, but I can find a specific winding stem in seconds. The road outside, Chunginaka, gets quite dusty with all the trucks, so I have to keep the watches covered when I’m not working on them. I don’t have a big team or anything. It’s just me and sometimes a helper if things get backed up. We don’t do any fancy marketing. Usually, someone’s neighbor tells them I can fix a lamp or a wristwatch, and they show up. It’s a simple way to run things. The shop stays open until the sun goes down, mostly because the light gets too dim to see the smallest screws without straining.
