Navkar Time Plaza

Navkar Time Plaza is located at 167 on the Main Road in Bapu Bazar. Being right on the main road means there is always something to look at. The traffic and the rickshaws never seem to stop. We have a bit more space here than the tiny stalls further down the alley. There are watches and clocks hanging on almost every bit of wall space we have. We spend most of our time behind the glass counter. This is a family-run place, so we don't have any big corporate rules. We just do things the way we always have. We don't use computers to track everything; a simple ledger and a pen are enough for us. Bapu Bazar is a big center for shopping, so we get all kinds of people coming in. Some are tourists who need a quick fix, and some are locals who have known us for years. The shop has a warm feel, especially in the evening when we turn on the yellow lights. We don't do any advertising in newspapers or on the radio. People just see our name when they are out shopping for other things. We have hundreds of tiny parts stored in little plastic drawers. It can be hard to find the right one sometimes, but we usually manage. It’s a busy life here at 167 Main Road and we are quite used to it.
