You can find Joshi Watch right across from the Fateh Memorial in Surajpole. It’s a prominent spot, so most people don't have a hard time locating us. I’ve been at this location for many years now. Surajpole is always bustling, which I don't mind. I sit near the front of the shop so I can see what’s going on outside while I work on the movements. The memorial is a good landmark for giving directions. Most of my day is spent with a tiny screwdriver in my hand. It’s a lot of sitting, so I try to stand up and stretch whenever a customer comes in. We handle all sorts of repairs, from basic battery swaps to fixing broken glass. I don’t try to make the shop look like a jewelry store. It’s a workshop, first and foremost. There are spare straps hanging on the wall and old clock faces in the display. It’s a bit dusty, despite my best efforts. The traffic in Surajpole can be a nightmare in the evenings, so I usually suggest people come by in the morning. I don't have any staff, so if I'm busy with a difficult repair, you might have to wait a minute. I don't like to rush things when it comes to watches. If you rush, you lose a screw, and those things are tiny. I usually close up when the street lights come on.
