Walagar Gems

You can find Walagar Gems right in the main lobby of Hotel Eros International at Nehru Place. We are at shop number 6. Being in a hotel means we see a lot of different people coming and going every day. Some are just passing through, and others are regulars who stay at the hotel for business. Our shop isn't very big, but we have enough space for a couple of display cases and a small desk where we can sit and talk. We deal with stones and gems, but we don't act like it's a high-pressure sales environment. We mostly just sit here and if someone walks in, we show them what we have. If they don’t see anything they like, that’s fine too. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass on the cases because fingerprints show up so easily. Nehru Place is a very busy, tech-heavy area, but inside the hotel lobby, it stays calm. We like that contrast. It’s a good spot to just focus on the details of the stones. We don't have a big staff, usually just one or two of us here at a time. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we sell. We just tell you what it is and what we know about it. It’s a straightforward way to run a shop, and it has kept us going for quite a while now in this hotel.
