Days Of The Raj

If you head up to the first floor at 81/3 in Adchini, you’ll find us. We’re called Days Of The Raj. Being on Sri Aurobindo Marg means there is always a lot of traffic passing by downstairs. It’s a busy part of South Delhi, near the 110017 area code. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now. The stairs can be a little narrow, so you have to watch your step when you're coming up. It’s not a huge place, just a decent-sized room with a kitchen tucked away. We don't really do all that fancy decor stuff you see in the new malls. It's mostly just plain walls and some sturdy tables. Most people who come here are from the offices nearby or people who live around Adchini. We get a lot of regulars who don’t even need to look at the menu anymore. They just tell us what they want. It feels more like a kitchen than a big business. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, or maybe it's too quiet, we just play what we like on the radio. It's a bit of an old-school vibe, I guess. We stay busy during the lunch hours, then it slows down until the evening. We don’t really have a big staff, just enough to keep things moving along. It’s a quiet life up here above the main road. We just keep our heads down and work hard every day to make it work.
