Doner Grill

Our little shop, Doner Grill, is located at S 13 in Greater Kailash I. It is right near the border of Greater Kailash 2, so we get people coming from both sides of the neighborhood. Delhi is a fast place, and this part of the 110048 area is no different. We spend most of our shift standing by the grills, watching the meat cook and getting the bread ready. It gets hot back there, especially in the middle of summer, but you get used to it. We aren't a big sit-down restaurant with waiters in vests. It’s more of a place where you grab something quick and keep moving, or sit on a stool for a few minutes. We started this because we liked the food and noticed there weren't many places doing it this way in the market. The regulars know us by now. We see the same faces every Tuesday or Friday evening. We don’t spend money on big ads or anything. The smell of the roasting meat usually does the work for us. Sometimes the delivery drivers are all crowded at the front, and it gets a bit messy, but we manage to get the orders out. It’s just a small, busy spot in a big city. We keep the counters wiped down and the knives sharp. We just focus on the food and getting through the day.
