Creative Impex

Creative Impex is located in the Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-II, at E-49/7. If you’ve ever been to Okhla, you know it’s all trucks and warehouses. The air is always a bit thick with dust and the sound of heavy engines. Our building is pretty plain, just concrete and metal. Inside, it’s mostly just space for the goods we move. We spend a lot of time on the loading dock, watching things get moved onto the lorries. It’s a noisy place to work, but you get used to it after a week or so. We have a small office upstairs where we keep the computer and the ledger books. It’s always a bit cooler up there than it is on the floor. Most of our staff have been here for a long time, so we all know who does what without having to ask. We don't have any big meetings or anything corporate like that. We just talk over the fence or while we’re having a tea break outside. There’s a small dhaba around the corner where we usually get our lunch from if we didn't bring anything. The food is spicy and keeps us going for the rest of the shift. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is bad, but we’ve got a good rhythm going now and we just stick to what we know and get it finished.
