You can find Spices & Sauces Restaurants up here on the Chail Kufri Road. We are part of the United 21 Resort in Junga, specifically in the Village Jungle Bhalawag. It is a bit of a drive to get to us, but it’s a beautiful part of the Shimla hills. Being located in a resort means we get people from all over who are visiting the mountains for some peace. However, we try to keep things grounded and local. The kitchen staff mostly comes from the nearby villages around Junga. We don't go in for all that fancy hotel talk. We just want to provide a meal that feels right after a long day of walking or driving on the mountain roads. The weather changes fast up here, so some days are quiet and misty, and other days we are packed with tourists. We do our best to keep up with it all. The building fits in with the natural surroundings, and we try not to disturb the quiet too much. It’s a simple setup where you can get a hot meal while looking out at the trees. We’ve been doing this for a while now and have learned what people need when they are away from home. No big promises, just a honest place to eat in a very pretty part of the world that we are lucky enough to work in every day.
