Cedar Restaurants

Cedar Restaurants is part of the Shimla Havens Resort over in Summer Hill. We are located in Village Gahan, which is a bit of a climb if you are coming from the main part of Shimla. The 171005 area is much quieter than the Mall Road, and we like it that way. Being up in Summer Hill means we deal with a lot of mountain weather, lots of mist and cold mornings. We start early to get the heaters going and the kitchen prepped. It’s a local operation, even if we are inside the resort. The people who work here mostly live nearby in the village or around Gahan. We see a lot of guests who are staying at the resort, but also some folks who just wander up the hill for a bit of a change. The trees around here are thick, and you can hear the birds most of the day. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We just run the place as best as we can, day in and day out. The work is mostly about keeping the place warm and making sure there is enough food for whoever shows up. It’s a steady life up here. We spend our time checking supplies and looking out at the valley when things get slow. It's just a regular hill station restaurant. We stay busy with the routine of the village and the guests who visit us.
