Delite Restaurant

We are located at A-01 in the Hotel Delite, right on Rahe Murtaza in the Civil Lines area. This is in Rampur Bushahr, up near Shimla. Being in the 172001 area, we get a mix of people who are staying in the hotel and locals who just live nearby. Delite Restaurant is a simple place. We don't have fancy decorations or a complicated menu. We just focus on the kitchen and the dining room. The air up here in the hills is usually quite crisp, but the kitchen stays warm and busy. We start the day by cleaning the tables and making sure the coffee is ready. It’s a quiet life in some ways, but the lunch and dinner hours can get quite hectic. We don't use big corporate language to describe ourselves. We are just a group of people working in a hotel restaurant. Sometimes the weather in Shimla makes things slow, and other times we are packed with tourists. We spend a lot of time talking to the guests and making sure they have what they need. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the kitchen and the tables. We like being in Civil Lines because it feels like the heart of the town. We just keep things running, day in and day out, without any fuss. It’s just a normal restaurant in a nice part of the mountains where the food is hot and the seats are comfortable.
