Farmer Nest Restaurant

Farmer Nest Restaurant is part of the Hotel Farmer Nest up on Kotkhai Road in Bhuin. We’re located in Theog, which is a bit outside the main Shimla town. The pin code is 171201. It’s a beautiful area, but the mountains make everything a bit slower. We’ve been running the restaurant here as part of the hotel for a few years now. It’s not a fancy city restaurant with waiters in bow ties. It’s a mountain place. We get a lot of people stopping by who are traveling further up into the hills. The weather can change fast here, so we’re always making sure the place stays warm and inviting. My family and a couple of local guys run the kitchen and the tables. We don’t have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing the sign as they drive through Theog. It’s a practical spot for a meal. Sometimes the supply trucks take an extra day to reach us if there's snow or rain, so we just work with what we have. It’s a very simple life here in Bhuin. We like talking to the travelers and hearing their stories. If you’re on the Kotkhai Road, you can’t really miss the hotel. We’re right inside. It’s just us doing our best to serve food in the hills. We keep things plain and simple for everyone.
