Alacarte Restaurant

You can find Alacarte Restaurant up on the 3rd floor of Bell Villa. We are located in the same building as the Union Bank in Shimla. Being on the third floor means you have to walk up or take the stairs, but people seem to find us okay. Shimla is a hilly place, so we are used to climbing around. The address is 171001, and it's a pretty central spot. We’ve been running things here for a bit. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for people to sit and have a meal. The view from the windows is alright, depending on the weather. Sometimes the clouds come right up to the building. We start our day early to get the kitchen ready for the lunch crowd. Most of our visitors are people working nearby or visitors exploring the town. We don't use any fancy talk. We just serve food and try to keep the tables clean. It gets cold in Shimla, so we try to keep the place feeling alright for anyone coming in from the wind. Being above the bank makes it easy to explain where we are. We just do our daily tasks, from washing dishes to cooking orders. It’s a steady rhythm. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just us working. It's a simple life up here in Bell Villa.
