Anandita Restaurant

Anandita Restaurant is tucked away inside Hotel Amber in the Shimla East area. We are right in Ram Bazar, which is usually packed with people. Our spot is directly opposite the Uco Bank, which makes it easier for people to find us in the crowd. We’ve been serving food here for quite a few years now. The kitchen is small and it gets very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. That’s just Shimla for you. I spend most of my time either behind the counter or helping out with the dishes. We don’t have a huge staff, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. Our menu isn't very long because we prefer to stick to what we know how to cook. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big social media presence. Most of our customers are locals or people working at the bank across the street. We see the same faces every afternoon. It’s a lot of hard work, especially on the weekends when the bazaar is full of tourists. We just try to keep the place clean and make sure the food is ready on time. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living, and we just keep doing our thing every day.
