You can find us at shop number 10 in the Middle Bazar area of Shimla. We are right across from the control room. This is a very busy part of the town where people are always walking up and down the hills. Our shop is quite small, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. The shelves are packed with all sorts of items. We’ve been in this exact spot for a long time now. The wooden floorboards creak when you walk on them, but they’ve held up well over the years. We get a mix of local residents doing their daily shopping and tourists who are wandering through the bazar. Shimla weather can be quite cold, so we usually have a small heater going behind the counter. We don't have any big signs or fancy lighting. It’s just a regular shop where we know most of our neighbors. My father ran this place before me, and not much has changed since then. We don't use a computer for our sales; we just write everything down in a big ledger book. The view from the door is just the street and the people passing by. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We aren't trying to grow into a big chain or anything. We are happy just being part of the Middle Bazar community. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but we like talking to the people.
