Moon International

Moon International is located right near the Secretariat in Chotta Shimla. It’s a busy area with a lot of government offices and people walking around. The building has been here for a while. We aren't right in the middle of the main Mall Road, which is actually a bit quieter at night. Being at 170001 means we get a lot of people coming in for work stuff at the Secretariat. The rooms are pretty standard and we try to keep the blankets warm because Shimla gets very cold in the winter. Our staff stays on site to help out with bags or if someone needs extra water. It's an old-fashioned kind of place. The windows sometimes whistle when the wind blows hard through the hills. We don't have a fancy elevator or anything, just stairs and some hallways. We spend our mornings cleaning and making sure the geysers are working so there is hot water. Sometimes the electricity goes out if there's a storm, but that happens everywhere in the mountains. We serve simple food if people are hungry. It’s mostly just us running things day to day. If you are coming up the hill, you can't miss the turn near the Secretariat. It's a practical place to stay if you have business in town or just need a bed for the night. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel, just a reliable spot for people passing through.
