Malook Restaurant

Shimla has these narrow paths that everyone knows, and Malook Restaurant is right in the middle of it all at Middle Bazar. Being at 171001 means we see the fog rolling in quite a bit. It’s a busy spot. We spend most of our mornings just setting things up before the crowds start moving through the market. There is always someone walking by, heading to work or just looking around. The shop is simple. We don’t have fancy signs or anything. It’s just us here every day. Sometimes the rain makes the streets slippery, but that’s just how it is here in the hills. We’ve been at this address for a while now. Most people know the building. It’s not a big place, but it stays busy. You can hear the sounds of the market from inside. We usually open up early when it's still quiet. By noon, Middle Bazar is packed. We just keep doing what we do. It’s a lot of work keeping things running, but we like being part of this neighborhood. The address is easy to find if you know Shimla well enough. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. Just a local spot where people can find us. Nothing much has changed over the years, and we prefer it that way. Just a regular day for us at the restaurant, really. I guess the stairs are the hardest part of being here, but you get used to the climb eventually. It is just home for us.
