La Glace Bar & Restaurants

La Glace Bar & Restaurants is up in Shimla at the Padam Dev Complex. We are located on The Ridge, specifically in Phase 2 of the complex. If you have ever been to Shimla, you know that The Ridge is the heart of the town where everyone goes to walk and look at the mountains. Because we are in such a popular spot, we get a mix of tourists who are just visiting for the weekend and locals who live here year-round. The weather up here changes fast, and when the mist rolls in, our place feels like a good hideout from the cold. We have a bar and a restaurant, so we see people coming in for different reasons throughout the day. The building is part of a larger complex, so there is always some activity nearby. We don't try to be too upscale; we just want to provide a comfortable place to sit and have a meal or a drink. The floors are a bit worn from all the boots walking on them, and the windows sometimes fog up when it's cold outside. Our staff knows how to handle the tourist seasons when the town gets incredibly crowded. During the quieter months, we catch our breath and do maintenance. It’s a steady kind of life here on The Ridge, and we just focus on keeping the place running and the customers satisfied without making a big deal about it.
