Krishna Bhojnalya

Our shop is at Shop Number 1 on the Main Road in Shimla, near the Sai Theatre in Ram Bazar. Being in the hills, the air is usually cool, and we try to keep the place warm for anyone coming in from the market. It’s a small bhojnalya, just a simple room with a couple of tables. We’ve been in Ram Bazar for quite a while now. It’s a very busy market area where people are always carrying goods up and down the steep roads. We serve basic meals like dal, rice, and hot rotis. I’ve lived in Shimla my whole life, and this shop is where I spend most of my time. The kitchen is small but we manage to cook everything fresh. Sometimes when it rains or snows, it gets a bit damp inside, but we keep the stoves going. It’s a very local spot, so you won’t find anything fancy here. The walls have a few posters and the furniture is plain wood. We don’t really do any promotion. People just find us when they are walking through the bazaar. It’s a lot of work to keep things running, especially getting supplies delivered up the hill, but we make it work. It’s just a normal place for people to get a hot meal without spending too much. It’s nothing special to look at, but it’s been here for years.
