If you spend any time on Circular Road in Ranchi, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times. Red Ball Restaurant has been sitting here for a while now, right in the middle of all the noise and traffic of the city. We don't have a big glass front or a fancy entrance. It’s just a door and a sign. Inside, we have some old wooden tables and chairs that have seen a lot of customers over the years. We started this place because we wanted a spot where you could get a decent meal without having to dress up or spend too much. The kitchen is right there, and you can hear the pans clattering all day long. Most of our regulars are the office workers from the nearby buildings who come in for a quick lunch. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us doing the cooking, serving, and cleaning up. In the summers, it gets pretty warm inside, even with the fans on full blast, but nobody seems to mind much. We serve what we know how to cook—simple, filling dishes that keep you going. The name doesn't have some big secret meaning; it's just what we picked. We aren't looking to expand or become a big brand. We just want to keep the kitchen running and the regulars fed. It’s a noisy, busy place, but it’s ours and we’re here every day.
