If you head over to Station Road in Ranchi, you’ll find us tucked inside Hotel Green Horizon. Fortune Restaurant has been serving folks here for a long while. Being near the station means there is always a lot of energy and people rushing around with suitcases. We see a lot of hungry travelers coming in straight from the platforms. Our kitchen staff starts early, chopping vegetables and getting the stoves going before most of the city is awake. We don’t have any fancy speeches; we just try to put decent food on the table every single day. The 834001 area is pretty busy, so we get a lot of noise from the street, but once you step inside, it’s a bit calmer. We have our regulars who come in for the same dish every week, and we have the one-time visitors who just need a quick meal before their train leaves. Sometimes we’re a bit short-handed on a Friday night, and you might have to wait a couple of extra minutes for your water, but we’re doing our best. The tables are sturdy, the floors are swept, and the food is hot. That’s really all there is to it. We just want to keep the place running and make sure nobody leaves with an empty stomach. It’s a simple operation on Station Road, and we like it that way.
