G R Kitchen

If you are around the Khadgarha Bus Stand in Ranchi, you probably know the area gets pretty busy. G R Kitchen is right there on the first floor of R Complex on Old H.B. Road. We opened this place because we saw a lot of travelers and local workers looking for a decent meal that doesn't cost a whole lot of money. It's not a huge space by any means, but we make it work for everyone. Since we are right across from the bus stand, we get a lot of people who are just passing through and need to eat quickly. We try to get the food ready fast because people usually have a bus to catch and don't have time to wait around. The kitchen can get a bit hot in the afternoons, but that's just part of the work we do. We cook what we know, simple dishes that remind you of a home-cooked meal. We don't spend money on fancy menus or expensive decorations. We just use what we have and keep the place as tidy as we can. Sometimes the stairs up to the first floor are a bit of a climb if you have heavy bags from your travels, but most folks don't seem to mind much. Ranchi is a busy place and Kantatoli is right in the middle of all that noise. We’re just happy to be a small part of the daily routine here, serving food to whoever walks through the door.
