Hungry Head

Hungry Head is located on the second floor of the Gel Church Complex. This is a well-known building on the Main Road in Ranchi. Since we are on the second floor, you have to come up the stairs or use the lift, which sometimes takes a minute. The church complex is always full of activity because there are so many different offices and shops inside. Ranchi's Main Road is probably one of the busiest streets you will find, with constant traffic and people walking everywhere. We get a mix of people coming in—some are working in the nearby offices, while others are just out shopping in the 834001 area. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of a distance from the direct noise of the street, but you can still hear the horns honking down below. The space inside is simple and functional. We didn't go for any expensive interior design; we just put in what was needed to get the kitchen running and give people a place to sit. It’s a local operation, run by people who live right here in the city. We know how the weather changes in Ranchi and how it affects the crowd on the Main Road. Some days are rainy and quiet, while others are bright and packed. We are just here every day, doing our work in our corner of the complex.
