OAKS Restaurant

If you walk through Krishna Market in Ranchi, you’ll find us up on the first floor. We are pretty close to the army camp area, so we get a mix of different people coming in throughout the day. OAKS Restaurant isn't one of those high-end places with white tablecloths and tiny portions. We just serve regular food that fills you up. The market can be pretty noisy and chaotic, but once you come upstairs, it’s a bit more relaxed. We’ve had this spot for some time now and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Our kitchen isn't massive, but we manage to put out a good variety of dishes. We don't bother with fancy slogans or big promises. We just cook what we know how to cook and hope you enjoy it. The furniture is simple and the lighting is just normal, nothing too special. We think that’s why people like coming back, because they don't have to dress up or act a certain way. It’s just a place to eat. Our staff are mostly locals who know the area well. We just take things one day at a time, making sure the groceries are fresh and the stove is hot. If you're near the camp or shopping in the market, you can just head up the stairs and find a seat. It's nothing fancy, just a solid spot for a meal.
