Durgapur Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar (Dicv ) Public High School

You will find our school in the A-Zone of Durgapur, right on School Road. It’s a fitting name for the street since we’ve been here for quite a while. The building is a typical high school structure, with long corridors and many rooms for the different grades. It can get quite loud when the bell rings and hundreds of students spill out into the hallways at once. We don't have any of those high-tech gadgets you see in some of the newer private schools. Instead, we have solid desks, plenty of books, and teachers who have been with us for years. The grounds are kept as tidy as possible, but with so many kids around, there's always a bit of wear and tear on the walls and floors. We spend our mornings getting everyone settled and our afternoons making sure the departures go smoothly on School Road. It’s a very grounded place. We don’t spend much on advertising or making things look perfect for visitors. The focus is just on the daily classes and the exams that come around every few months. Most of the families in A-Zone know us well, and many of the parents actually went to school here themselves back in the day. It’s just a standard part of the community in Durgapur, providing a regular place for education without any extra bells or whistles. We just get on with the job of running the school day by day.
