Khaskenda Saraswati Sishu Mandir

This school is out in Haripur, over in Bardhaman. It's a quiet area compared to the bigger cities. We have been here for a good while, and most people in the village know where the Sishu Mandir is. The building is pretty standard for this part of West Bengal. We have some classrooms and a small area where the kids gather for their morning assembly. It’s not very modern, but it does the job for the local students. We spend our time teaching the basic subjects and making sure the kids stay on track with their reading and writing. There’s a lot of greenery around Haripur, which is nice to look at. Sometimes the rains make the paths a bit muddy, but we manage to get inside without too much mess. We don't have any fancy technology or air conditioning. It’s just desks, benches, and blackboards. The teachers here live nearby and walk to work most days. We have a small yard where the children play during their breaks. It gets a bit dusty in the summer months when the wind blows through the fields. We try to keep things running smoothly without much fuss. People around here know us by name and often stop by to chat. It’s just a local school for the community. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure everyone shows up on time. We have some old cupboards for the books and a few benches that need a bit of repair. It's just a regular part of life here in Haripur village.
