Dhirubhai Ambani Memoral School

Dhirubhai Ambani Memoral School is right here in Andal North Bazar, tucked away in the middle of all the daily market hustle. If you walk down the main road in Andal, you will see our building standing there near the shops. We have been part of the Asansol area for some time now and most people around here know where we are. The school day starts early when the gates open and the morning air is still a bit cool. We spend a lot of our time making sure the classrooms are swept and the wooden desks are lined up properly before the kids arrive. It gets quite noisy once the bell rings, which you can hear all the way down the street. Our office is small and usually filled with stacks of paper and old registers that we keep updated by hand. Sometimes the ceiling fans make a clicking sound that we keep meaning to fix, but they still work well enough to keep the heat off during the humid months. We do not have anything fancy like a big corporate office. It is just a regular school building with white walls and some charts pinned up in the hallways. The teachers usually sit together during the break to drink tea and talk about the day. It is a simple place where we focus on getting through the lessons and making sure the students have their books ready for class.
