Rahnuma Piblic School

Rahnuma Piblic School is right there in the Railpar area of Asansol, specifically on Station Road. Being so close to the railway tracks, you can often hear the trains passing by and the whistles blowing throughout the day. It is a very busy part of Bardhaman, and the streets around the school are usually filled with people and small shops. The school building itself is an older structure that has seen a lot of students come and go over the years. It is not a shiny new building with glass walls; it is made of solid bricks and has a lot of character. We have several classrooms, and they are filled with the usual desks and chairs that have been around for a while. The hallways can get quite loud during the breaks when everyone is running around. We have a small staff of people who have been living in this part of Asansol for most of their lives. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution. The parents often stop by the gate to chat while they are waiting for their kids. We do not have a big fancy playground, but the kids find ways to play in the spaces we have. It is just a local school serving the people of Railpar. We do our best with what we have and keep the place running year after year. It is a bit chaotic sometimes, but that is just how life is near the station.
