Vivaan Exports

Our office is located at Marine Lines, specifically at number 14. It is an older building with those high ceilings that you often see in this part of Mumbai. Working at Vivaan Exports means we spend a lot of time surrounded by stacks of paperwork and boxes that need to be sent out. The lift in the building is quite old and sometimes it takes a bit of time to arrive, so we often just take the stairs. You can feel the sea breeze coming through the windows, but it also brings a lot of humidity with it. The afternoons can get quite sticky. We don’t have any modern glass partitions or fancy espresso machines. It’s just a functional space with several desks pushed together and a lot of filing cabinets. We usually get our lunch from the local dabba service or walk down to the small stalls near the station. The street noise is constant, with taxis honking and people rushing to catch their trains. It gives the place a lot of energy. We have been at this address for several years and know most of the other people in the building. It is a very practical setup. We just focus on getting the exports handled and making sure the documents are correct. It’s a lot of long hours but we like the rhythm of it. Marine Lines is a good place to be even with the noise.
