We’re located on the ground floor at 39/41 Nagdevi Cross Lane in Mumbai. If you know Mumbai, you know how packed and narrow the lanes are around here. It’s a constant rush of porters with carts and motorbikes trying to squeeze through. Our office is right in the middle of all that action. We do export work, which means a lot of checking lists, packing boxes, and making sure everything matches the shipping documents. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking about a container or a customs delay. It’s not a quiet place to work, but the energy of Nagdevi is what keeps us going. The walls are lined with samples and old ledgers that we still keep just in case. We’ve been in this spot for years, and we know all the other shopkeepers on the lane. Sometimes we have to move boxes out onto the sidewalk just to make room to walk inside. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how trade works in this part of the city. We don't have fancy furniture or a big sign, just our name on the door and a lot of work to do. Everything is about getting the goods from point A to point B without any trouble. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to people all day long, but it’s what we’ve always done.
