Citizen Exports

Running Citizen Exports out of Bandra East is always an interesting experience. Our place is at 29/7A Razak Chawl, tucked into Behram Nagar. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and lively these neighborhoods are. There is always noise, people moving around, and something happening right outside the door. We focus on exports, which means we deal with a lot of packing and logistics. It's a lot of physical work, making sure everything is wrapped up right and ready to go to the port. The space we have in the chawl is humble, but it serves us well. We don't need a glass building to do our job. We just need enough room to manage the boxes and the paperwork. Most of the people working here are from the local area, so we all know each other. We talk about the local news or the weather while we work. The humidity in Mumbai can be tough, especially when we are moving heavy stuff, but we are used to it by now. We don't go in for big marketing or fancy brochures. We just do the work and send the goods out. It’s a simple business model based on getting things from one place to another. We've been here for a while and plan to stay as long as there are things to ship. It is just a small part of the big Mumbai trade.
