You can find Anuj Exports in the Laxmi Building, which is number 35/37 on Girgaum Road. We are located pretty close to Kennedy Bridge. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of traffic and people walking by all the time. Our office is a bit old-fashioned. We’ve been here for a long time and haven’t seen much reason to change things around. We handle export stuff, mostly dealing with paperwork and coordinating shipments. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking lists over and over. The building itself has that old Mumbai feel to it. Sometimes the lift doesn’t work right, so we end up taking the stairs. We have a small team sitting at desks piled high with files. It’s not a high-tech setup. We rely a lot on the relationships we’ve built over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the goods get where they need to go without too much trouble. Sometimes things get stuck at the port or there’s a delay with a supplier, and we have to spend the whole day sorting it out. That’s just the nature of this business. Being near Kennedy Bridge makes it convenient for us to get around. We like the area, even with all the noise and the crowded streets. We just show up every morning, do our work, and then head home. It is what it is.
