About Shree Vinayak Devidayal Internation – Art & Craft in Mumbai
We’re located on the second floor of the Rajkamal Society in Santacruz West. It’s at 204, and it’s a typical residential-turned-office kind of setup. You have to walk up the stairs, and sometimes the light in the hallway is a bit dim, but once you’re inside, it’s all business. We’ve got desks squeezed in where they fit, and there’s always the sound of someone typing or talking on the phone. Being in Santacruz is convenient because everything is close by, but finding parking around Rajkamal Society can be a real struggle for anyone visiting. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy outside. Most of our work involves coordinating things over long distances, so we spend a lot of time looking at screens and checking shipping dates. The office gets a lot of afternoon sun, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time to keep it cool. We have a small pantry where we make tea, and that’s usually where we end up talking about how the week is going. It’s a tight-knit group here; we’ve known each other for a long time. We don't worry too much about having the latest furniture or looking like a big multinational. We just focus on getting the papers signed and the orders moved. It’s a bit cramped when we get new deliveries of files, but we manage to stay on top of it without complaining about the lack of extra space.
