Our place is at 177 Sant Sena Maharaj Marg, which is a very old part of Girgaum in Mumbai. If you've ever been to the Round Temple, you know exactly where we are because it's just a short walk from there. This part of the city is always crowded and noisy, but it has a lot of character that you don't find in the newer suburbs. The building we are in has been here for years, and the walls are thick, which helps a bit with the sound of the horns outside. Dealing with the traffic in South Mumbai is a daily struggle for me, but being centrally located makes it easier for people to drop by. I spend most of my day sitting at the desk, looking out at the street and seeing the same vendors and neighbors walking by. It's a tight space, and we have to stack things up high to make everything fit. There isn’t much of a lobby or anything like that, just a door and a workspace. People usually call before they come because parking around Girgaum is a complete nightmare. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes, or the internet acts up, but we just wait it out and get back to work. It’s a simple life here, nothing like those fancy offices you see on TV in the business districts. Just me doing what I need to do. I’ve been here since I was much younger and have seen the neighborhood change so much.
