Pushpam Arts

Pushpam Arts is located at 274 Fort, specifically in Mohan Mansion at number 28. We are in the 3rd Block area on 8th Main Road. The building is one of those older ones with thick walls and a bit of history. Inside, the space is packed with all kinds of art supplies. We have brushes, tubes of paint, and rolls of canvas stacked up wherever they will fit. It is not a neat and tidy place. There is usually some dust and the smell of turpentine or wood glue in the air. We spend a lot of time framing pictures for people. That means there are often bits of wood and glass on the workbench. It is a small shop, and we know exactly where every single item is hidden, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. The 8th Main Road outside is always busy with people walking by. We get a mix of students and professional artists coming in to look for supplies. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who enjoy being around art. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just talking to a customer about a project they are working on. We don't have a fancy display window. People just see the sign and come in. It is a slow way to run a shop, but we like the pace. It feels more like a workshop than a store. That is just how we like to do things here.
