Nandlal Gobindram

Our place, Nandlal Gobindram, is inside the Murlidhar Chamber at number 352. It’s on Sinhgad Road, which is always busy with people going back and forth. Finding us can be a bit tricky the first time because the building has many different businesses tucked away in corners. We’ve been here long enough that the walls could probably tell a few stories. It’s not a large space, but it fits everything we need. Most mornings, we open up the shutters and start sorting through whatever came in the day before. We don't use a lot of fancy technology here, mostly just ledgers and a couple of old desks that have been around longer than I have. The area of Thakurdwar nearby is always bustling, and the mix of Pune life makes it an interesting place to work. We have a lot of regular people who come by just to check on things or see what’s new. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We just take things as they come. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other, but you get used to it. We don’t really bother with big advertisements. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for years. It’s just a practical, everyday kind of business. We keep things simple and honest because that’s the only way we know how to do it. We might not be big, but we are consistent.
