Planetsaffron.Com is tucked away in Lower Parel, specifically in the Badak Society within the Kawli Compound. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded S. B. Marg can get, especially when the trains let out. Our office is in Room Number 5, and it’s a pretty tight space but we make it work. We spend most of our time staring at screens and dealing with the internet stuff that keeps the company going. It’s not the kind of place with a lobby or a receptionist. You just walk in and see us working. The compound has a lot of history and you can hear the sounds of the city all day long. Sometimes the rain makes it a bit of a challenge to get to the door without getting soaked, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We’ve been here long enough that we know all the local guys selling snacks outside. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk. We just focus on the tasks we have for the day and try to keep things moving. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so the fan is always running. Working in a society like this means you see families and other small businesses all mixed together. It’s a very real way to work. We aren't trying to be the biggest thing in the world, just trying to do our bit from this small corner of Mumbai.
