Al Khatri Impex

Our office, Al Khatri Impex, is on the third floor of the Nazrana building. It’s located at 76/78 Ali Umer Street. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with all the shops and people moving about. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building has that lived-in feel to it. Dealing with imports and exports means there is always something going on with shipping documents or tracking parcels. The third floor is a bit of a trek, especially if the lift is being used for moving boxes. Our space is filled with samples and piles of ledgers. It's not a showroom, just a place where we get the actual work done. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to people at the docks or at the customs office. It can get stressful when a shipment is delayed, but that is just part of the trade. We have a few desks squeezed in together, and there’s always someone coming in to drop off a packet or a letter. The street below is noisy from dawn until dusk, which you eventually just stop noticing after a few months. We aren’t a huge corporation; we are just a group of people making sure things get from one place to another. It’s honest work, and it keeps us on our toes every single day.
