Mewa Stores

Mewa Stores is situated in Andheri West, specifically in the Shiv Ashish Building on Chhani Road near the Irla Bridge. It’s a busy corner of the city where things are always happening. Our shop is mostly focused on various types of nuts and dried fruits, which we keep in large glass jars and bins along the walls. The Irla area has a lot of foot traffic, so we see many people walking by every hour. We spend a lot of our time just keeping the jars topped up and making sure the shop looks decent. It isn't a huge place, so we have to be smart about where we put the stock. The building is older, and you can tell by the way the walls look, but it has a good feel to it. We don't do much in terms of advertising; people usually just find us because they are in the neighborhood or they’ve been coming here for years. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the bags being moved around, but we try to keep it tidy. Most days follow the same pattern of opening up, checking what we’re low on, and helping whoever walks through the door. We aren’t trying to be anything fancy or corporate. It is just a local shop in a busy part of Andheri where we do our daily work. There is a lot of noise from the bridge and the traffic, but we’ve gotten used to it over the time we’ve been here.
