Kavya Creations

You can find Kavya Creations over on Nepean Sea Road. We are tucked away in Madhav Vilas, up on the first floor at 8 Setalvad Lane. This part of Mumbai, the 400006 area, is a bit different from the rest of the city. It’s a bit quieter, but we still keep busy. Our workspace isn't very big, but we have enough room for our tables and chairs. We spend most of our time here working on different designs and pieces. It’s just a few of us in the office. The building is an older style, which we like. We don't have a big sign outside or anything flashy. Most people find us because they know the lane or they’ve been told where to go. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep. We usually have the windows open to let some air in, though the Mumbai humidity is always there. We don't have a fancy corporate structure. We just decide what needs to be done each morning and get to it. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of work, other times we head out early. It’s a very relaxed way of running things. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and feel like part of the local scenery. It’s just a practical place for us to do our thing. We have a small corner where we keep the fabric samples that didn't work out. It's a bit of a mess, but we'll clean it eventually.
