Kala Darpana

Kala Darpana is located on the 2nd floor of a building over in Mahim. Specifically, we are at number 5, which is a bit of a walk up the stairs since the lift is often out of service or just too slow to wait for. Mahim is a great area to be in, but it’s definitely got its own pace. Our floor is shared with a few other small offices, so there’s always people coming and going in the hallway. Our space is pretty basic—just some desks, a few chairs, and a lot of cabinets for all our files. We don't have a big fancy sign outside, so most people have to look closely at the directory to find us on the second floor. It’s quiet inside compared to the street noise downstairs, which is a relief when we have a lot of work to get through. We’ve got a small window that looks out over the rooftops, which is nice when the sun starts to go down. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working on the computer. We don't really have a lot of walk-in traffic because of being on the second floor, so it’s usually just us and the occasional delivery person. We usually bring our own lunch from home and eat together at the big table in the middle of the room. It’s an unpretentious place where we just focus on our daily tasks without any fuss or corporate nonsense.
