You can find us at 404 Chheda Bhavan, which is at 98 Surat Street. It’s right next to Masjid Station, so the sound of the trains is something we hear all day long. If you are getting off at Masjid Bunder Station, we are just a short walk away. It’s a very busy part of the city, always crowded with people moving goods back and forth. Emjay Eximp has been here for a while now. Our office isn’t huge, but it’s where all the importing and exporting gets sorted out. There are stacks of folders everywhere and the phone rings more than we’d like. Since we are so close to the station, there’s always a hum of energy from the street below. We get a lot of couriers coming in and out with documents. The building itself has that old feeling, with thick walls and narrow hallways. We know most of the other people in Chheda Bhavan by sight. It’s a lot of coordination work, making sure things get from one point to another without getting stuck. Sometimes there are delays at the port or issues with the transport, and that’s when it gets stressful. But usually, we just go through the routine, checking the lists and making sure the numbers match up. We don’t have much time for small talk, but we always make sure the work is finished before we head home.
